Event:

The Shabbat UK event was divided into 2 sections: a Friday night shabbat service with soup kiddush and speaker and a Saturday shabbat tea followed by Havdalah. The Friday night service was well attended by around 80 members. The shabbat tea was a sellout where over 220 people came for a tea and to hear the guest speaker, Nick Ferrari. The hall was beautifully decorated with a 50’s style teatime theme.

Evaluation from Richard Simon:

There has been some hugely positive feedback from the community. The event was enjoyed by the whole community; both regular attendees and less regular attendees had words of praise and thanks for the event and for the organisers. Events such as this bring the community closer together which is evident from the number of people who stayed on for the most beautiful and emotional Havdalah service to conclude shabbat. The event has re-enforced the positive vibe around the shul, and we feel sure that this will carry forward into our next events, enabling them to be just as successful.

Participant feedback:

“Such a fabulous event and it was so nice to see so many new faces. What an incredible community we have!”

“Seeing Nick Ferrari speak was a real dream come true! Fantastic!”
