Richmond Synagogue

Event:

There was a Friday night service and communal dinner with about 70 people and visitors Rabbi and Rebbetzin Golker; celebratory kiddush on shabbat morning for Leonard Magrill’s 75th Birthday; and a relaxed Havdalah service with wine, whiskey and whatever anyone felt like drinking!

Evaluation from Paul Laurence:

“Target numbers for the Shabbaton were 50 to 60 but 70 attended. Feedback to date across age groups has been excellent. Clearly encouraged people back in to shul who had not attended for a while … The Kabbalah Shabbat service, Shabbaton, 75th Birthday kiddush on Shabbat morning and Havdallah reminded everyone of the real sense of community.”
